RSVP of the Flint Hills is celebrating 34 years of service to the Flint Hills
communities.
RSVP is a community-based program with a dual purpose: to engage persons 55 years of age and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers. Services provided the community include tutoring, mentoring children of inmates, delivering nutritious meals to the homebound, providing bereavement counseling to the widowed, providing respite relief to the family of a terminal loved one, doing clerical work for agencies, and a wide variety of tasks at Mercy Regional Health Center.
The major funding source for RSVP is the Corporation for National and Community Service. Providing funding locally are the United Way and the Riley County Council on Aging.
