The MVP “Rockin’ Readers” Preschool Literacy program

RSVP is in need of volunteers to read to preschool-age children attending the Manhattan Day Care and Learning Centers, Inc. RSVP volunteers will visit the centers on a weekly basis and “rock” and “read” to children enrolled in the three 3-5 year old preschool classrooms. Through this program we hope to expand the children’s imaginations and attention spans, as well as their language and listening skills. By reading to children we can provide support in developing their early literacy skills before starting kindergarten.
